Covid-19 Precautions For Productions
Updated On: Jun 24, 2020
Here are the suggested guidelines and precautions which should be followed if your company will be working on media projects during the Covid-19. Please refer to the CDC website for Resources for Businesses and Employers. And message crew and all production staff with the production’s policies and protocols for Covid-19.
Covid-19 precautions which productions should adhere to in the production offices, shops and on set:
Hand washing availability and frequency: Provide running hot water and soap or hand sanitizers with 60% at least alcohol
Frequent cleaning & disinfecting of frequently used surfaces and objects touched by many. Use bleach wipes and have supplies of these readily available. Have specific PAs or other crew assigned the responsibility of managing this.
Practice physical distancing as much as possible. Reduce numbers in confined areas. Adhere to federal, city and state imposed limits on crowds observed.
Those sick should not report. Those appearing sick on set should be sent home. Production should assign a representative to be the health screener. This should not be the Medic.
Provide nitrile or other plastic gloves to be used on set by Hair Stylists, Make-up Artists, Costumes and others who come in contact with our members in doing their jobs
Mandate catering and Crafts Services to wear gloves when preparing and serving food. Consider individually portioned pre-packaged food.
Strictly follow sanitary provisions as per CBA and OSHA especially in regards to cleaning of food service areas and bathrooms, and the providing of accessible hand washing/sanitizing stations
Provide and post links to OSHA, CDC and WHO to all Cast and Crew:
